Complementary feasibility studies for oil and gas from the Caspian Sea Region to Central and Eastern Europe 97.01

Project Description

This project assesses the feasibility of transporting oil and gas coming from the Caspian Sea to the Central and Eastern European countries. The assessment focused on use of existing infrastructure, after rehabilitation, and on the creation of alternative routes supplementing existing ones. The development of supporting infrastructure such as storage, dispatching centres and telecommunications is also assessed. Romania and Bulgaria were also beneficiaries from this project.
