98/99.04 - Multimodal transportation of Refined Oil Products (ROP) and LPG in the framework of security and safety of energy supplies

This study aimed to analyse the possibility of increasing and improving the multimodal oil transport from the Russian Federation to the European Union within a time horizon of 5-7 years.

Three possible routes were analysed as follows:

• The Baltic Corridor
• The Central European Corridor
• The Black Sea Mediterranean Corridor

The study sets out clearly the premises for the search to find a company willing to undertake the business plan for importing refined oil products to the EU - an investment valued at USD$ 145 million.
