INOGATE Oil & Gas Directory 2003-2004
This INOGATE Oil & Gas Directory 2003-2004 is a "roadmap" to the decision-making processes and bodies in the oil and gas sectors of the 21 countries participating in the INOGATE Programme. This directory has been designed in a way to assist the user in acquiring a quick overview of the current situation in the oil and gas sectors of INOGATE Countries as well as providing full contact information of all key decision-makers, state-owned oil and gas companies, and private / public institutions.
The structure of the directory has been divided into two main parts. In the first part, eleven (11) INOGATE participating countries in the New Independent States (NIS) are presented in alphabetical order (i.e. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tadjikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan). Since the INOGATE Support Group project has local INOGATE Officers in the aforementioned countries, with the exception of Tajikistan, a more in-depth analysis has been provided for these countries, compiled into four sections:
- Overview of the Oil and Gas Sector (i.e. quick summary of the current situation as regards this sector in the country)
- Organizational Chart(s) (i.e. overall decision-making bodies and entities involved in the oil and gas sector)
- List of key decision making bodies, Governmental Entities and Public Institutions (i.e. description of the powers and responsibilities of each governmental entity and institution as well as full contact details)
- EC Delegations & Tacis National Co-ordinating Units (i.e. full contact details)
In the second part of this directory, in alphabetical order, the ten (10) INOGATE Countries in Europe (i.e. Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Latvia, FYR of Macedonia, Romania, Serbia & Montenegro, Slovakia and Turkey) presented. In this part the information of each country is separated into 3 sections:
- Overview of the Oil and Gas Sector
- List key decision making bodies, Governmental Entities and Public Institutions
- EC Delegations
Included also in this directory are two (2) updated INOGATE maps - one for oil and one for gas - depicting the main existing and projected transportation networks in the EU and participating countries highlighting especially those pipeline projects that have been declared by the European Commission as being of Pan-European Interest. The accuracy of the directory is based on information valid till March 2004 as well as the bibliographical resources used, the complete list of which can be found at the end of this publication.
