10th International Forum of the Oil and Gas Industry, Kyiv Ukraine, 7-10 November 2006
The 10th international forum of the oil and gas industry – the International Exhibition "Oil and Gas 2006" was held on 7-10 November 2006 in the International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv, Ukraine. The forum was organised by the National Joint-Stock Company “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine and the Exhibition Company "ACCO International". In addition, the 5th International Exhibition on Power Generation, Distribution and Saving, Alternative Energy Sources "Power and Power Industry 2006" was held in parallel with the Forum.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Andrey Klyuyev – the Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mr. Jury Bojko – Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, Mr. Vladimir Sheludchenko – Chairman of Board of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine", Mr. Ian Boag – the Head of the European Commission's Delegation to Ukraine, as well as ambassadors and representatives of many countries of the world, heads of leading oil and gas companies. The international forum, an important event for the domestic fuel and energy sector of Ukraine, was arranged at the highest level thus attracting more than 280 companies from 17 countries across the world.
The INOGATE Programme via the INOGATE Technical Secretariat also took part in the following related events, which were held in course of the 10-th International Exhibition “Oil and Gas 2006”:
- Round-Table and presentation of “Perspective of introduction in Ukraine of the natural gas accounting systems with advance payment - the "GRIVNA" project (Gas Revenue Implementation in Ukraine);
- The scientific-practical conference "Oil and Gas Sector of Ukraine: Development Strategy" - the conference was opened by Mr. Volodymyr Sheludchenko, Chairman of the Board, NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, whereby he paid special attention to the two projects supported by EC Tacis INOGATE Programme namely – Metrological Centre in Boyarka, which is currently under the final stage of construction, and extension of Odessa–Brody Oil Transport Pipeline up to Europe.
