Regional Seminar on the compilation of energy balances (EBs) for the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Tajikistan (RWP13)

Objective

This event will be organised as a hands-on training seminar during which the participants will work actively on the compilation of their own official energy balance.
The main objective of the seminar is to further improve the national Energy Statistics Systems of Armenia and Tajikistan and to consolidate the work on Energy Statistics carried out since 2012.  Jointly with the technical assistance provided individually to these three countries, another objective of the workshop is to allow them, through training, to reach a higher level of self-sufficiency in their capacity to collect data and to compile energy balances that are harmonised with EU and international standards. Official energy balances and statistics are expected to be used in the coming years in those countries to develop medium to long term energy scenarios and comprehensive energy strategies.
