Combined event on SE awareness raising in Dublin, Ireland

Objective

INOGATE Technical Secretariat conducted a combined event, which includeв a training course and study visits on awareness raising in sustainable energy. The combined event included participants from five INOGATE Partner countries (PCs), including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The event took place in Dublin, Ireland on 15-19 June, 2015.

This event aimed at improving the capacity of participants in designing and implementing effective awareness raising activities in SE including Sustainable Energy information centres. In addition, participants from PCs had an opportunity to learn about the work and experience of a specialised SE agency in Europe and enhance networking. The participants of the event were middle level managers representing the following organisations:

•     Ministries in charge of energy (those sections who deal with EE/RES policies as well as those in charge of communication and information provision);

•     Specialised  agencies  such  as  Energy  Efficiency  Agencies,  Renewable  Energy Agencies, EE/RES funds (managers responsible for information management, event organisation, websites, public information);

•     Local municipalities or other institutional authorities relevant to SE awareness raising, depending on the specific country context.
