EU: IEA / INOGATE Energy Policy Review of countries in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia - launch of the compendium publication in Brussels
Objective
The policy
review process, carried out in two cycles in 2013 and 2014, has now been
finalised and the International Energy Agency, with the support of the INOGATE
Technical Secretariat, has produced a new compendium publication entitled IEA
Energy Policy Review of countries in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.
This publication is under the IEA’s flagship energy policy review publication series and was launched, for EU stakeholders, at the European Commission in Brussels on 13 April 2015. Thereafter, regional presentations were taking place as follows:
- For stakeholders from Eastern European countries (Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus), the presentation held in Chisinau on 15 April 2015
- For stakeholders from the Caucasus countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia), the presentation held in Tbilisi on 17 April 2015
- For stakeholders from the Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan), the presentation held in Astana on 24 April 2015.
Each of these events was followed by a short press conference. For more information, see the agendas for these events below. All documentation is uploaded for each event on the above links for each event.
The publication is a clear outcome of the INOGATE Partner Countries’ remarkable engagement in this process and to governments’ continuous commitment and support to this important energy co-operation framework.
