AHEF. GE37. Seminar & field visit on risk assessment (Safety, reliability and integrity of transmission systems) - Georgia

Objective

The Georgian Gas Transportation Company (GGTC), the gas system operator of the Georgian transportation network was supported by INOGATE to establish a methodology for the risk assessment of transmission pipelines based on European and International standards. Such assessments will assist the GGTC in determining new safety limits for their pipelines. A parallel objective is to increase the capacity of personnel to prepare risk assessment studies for pipeline and infrastructure projects.

The three-day seminar took place in the Georgian Oil and Gas Company (GOGC) office in Tbilisi and included a study tour to a South Caucasus Pipeline site at Kazbegi.
